The Team

A brother-sister team, Sameer and Premila, enamoured by movies since young, were born in the glitterati city of Mumbai and were influenced by American and foreign cinema, whilst growing up in Europe. The duo co-founded GAP2000 Films and are the organisation’s principals.


Sameer Puri Co-founder and Director

Sameer’s debut feature Delhi Boom! premiered at Cannes Film Festival in 2007 following a deal with Italian distributor, Minerva Pictures Group. A Management Studies graduate, Sameer is a writer, director and photographer from London. Technically and creatively gifted, he established an art and design lab in The Hague in 1998 with clients such as Dutch television giant Veronica. Sameer endeavours to make films that motivate people towards happiness and inspiration. He has wrapped scripting The White Room, is currently shooting Jaydrath-Vadh, and prepping GAP2000's next feature film, Retardation.

Premila Puri Co-founder and Producer

Premila gained a BA Hons in Law and Management Studies and a Masters in Philosophy in Marketing from England. A corporate headhunter, Premila’s involvement in Delhi Boom! as executive producer focused on key role as investor and soundboard during preproduction. She continues to promote GAP2000 Films as a young, visionary production company to financiers, international buyers and agents. Premila is currently acting as executive producer on Quick Slip Me A Bride and advising several high-profile Anglo-Indian co-productions.
